Password Reset Problem in Enterprise Services

Please note that we are aware of the Password Reset issue that is affecting
Enterprise Services Groove domains attached to blugro1gms. We are working
towards a resolution and I will update this thread with details as they
become available.

Update:

1. Log into your Groove Enterprise Services Domain
2. Click the Domain name in the left window
3. Click Domain Properties at the top of the right window
4. Click the Password Settings Tab
5. Click Change Password to change the password of the Data Recovery key
– this password would have been entered when the Domain was created

This should fix your password reset problem.

Hi Gregg,

I have the password reset set to automatic before. I have a user who has
forgotten his password. When click on the 'forgot my password', although a
message popped up telling him that a temp password has been sent to his
email, he never get that email. So I went an change the password reset to
manual yesterday hoping this will make a different. However, without logging
into groove successfully, he can't download the latest change in the password
reset policy so this doesn't help me (or my user) in this case. Any other
way to reset this password?

Hi Kit,

No there isn’t. If your user is not receiving the email it is more than
likely related to:

1. Wrong or no longer used email address in the user’s profile or
2. Spam filter not allowing the email to be delivered

If the email cannot be accessed, then the password cannot be reset.
