Password to modify – PowerPoint 2000

In more recent versions it is possible to add a password to modify in the
Save As Window, Tools button. This does not seem to be available in the 2000
version of PowerPoint. Apart from saving the file as a PDF, is there a way to
stop people changing a Show when it is created in PP 2000?
