I want to create a web page that allows a end user who
has access to the site to enter a user name and password
and be taken to a particular page on the site. There will
be a number of users and they each would have different
pages to go to. A client type going to a page for that
particular client etc...Any help would be appreciated.

Depends on the O/S you are hosted on. You need to provide us with that
