PASSWROD PROTECTING WEBPAGE WITH EDITABLE EXCEL SHEET

What I want to do is put an excel file on a webpage that is password
protected, but only on the webpage, and no password on the file when
opened
At such time as it is accessed by a limited few, I want them to be
able to edit the spreadsheet and have it auto save upon closing.
is this possible?

You can password protect the subweb the file is in,
but you can not edit and save it back to the server unless you are logged in w/ FP
