Paste and Print screen problem

Hi

I have two problems but I bet they are related.

Whether I try to print my current window using 'Print Screen ' button or to
copy and paste an image, I get a blank box (same dimensions and form as the
image) but the interior is empty.

I've noticed that when I activate paper press in XP home version to see if
the image has been captured from another program or document, it is there in
all its glory, but when I paste it, it's the same old story.

Any help appreciated.
