Paste from Web Page causes File option upon selection.

Word 2003, fully updated: when I paste a segment in from a web page, anything
I now select in word causes the File option in the toolbar to be highlighted;
I must constantly hit "esacape" to clear this. Any way to prevent this from
occurring?
