Paste from web page to Word causes table to ignore page margins.

I want to paste the contents of a web page into Word 2002. The process
creates tables of the data, which I want, but some of the tables ignore the
page margins and stretch to the edge of the page making them unprintable.
And I am not able to edit the table width to correct the problem. I have
tried to paste the data using all 4 page views as well as multiple paste
options. None of them have yielded the results I need. Any ideas or
suggestions? Thank you for your help.

In Word, one changes the column widths, not the table width. And you'd
probably also need to deactivate the "auto resize" under Table/Table
Properties/Table/Options
