paste image as jpg

When saving pictures copying and pasting from Word, Excel, my machine is all
of a sudden saving in this .png file format when I paste into Microsoft
Picture Manager, instead of .jpg like it used to. How do I eliminate .png
from my computer's knowledge so that pasting into Micro Office Picture
Manager will paste as .jpg?

Mark,
Try this;
Right Click a jpg choose Open With then choose program and check the box
always open this kind of file with the selected program.
