Paste Image Problem in Compatibility Mode

I am using PPT 2007 and saving ppt files in PPT 97-2003 mode. Sometimes,
images I have pasted into my presentation using Copy-Paste as Picture shows
up as an empty rectangle when the file is viewed using PPT 2003. This
appears to be a random problem and has occured when using picture or bmp
format. It has also happened when I have "copied picture" from a website
(like copying a company logo). There are times where it works fine but this
happens enough that I need to contstantly test presentations on a 2003
machine to be sure all images are working.

Hi

You are safer using Insert -> Picture than copy/pasting. Especially from
websites where you sometimes just end up pasting code, not the image - right
click the image on the website -> save image as (or similar option depending
on your browser).
