I'm trying to link cells from Excel to Word in Office 2000. Normally I'm able
to choose the cells in Excel, click Edit > Paste Special > Paste link, and
then see many options under Paste link. The problem is that the Paste link is
grayed out so I can't use it at all.
There are many users in our office who do this type of linking every day but
there is only one computer that is having this problem.
I can fix it but it won't stay fixed! If I run Office setup and choose the
repair option, it fixes the problem temporarily; I can then do the paste link
one time with no problems before it quits working again.
