pasted logos, cant group and ungroup, not highlighted in drawtool

I pasted logos from websites into a word doc and it will not allow me to
group select in order to group and/or ungroup the logos. Can someone suggest
something in order for me to get this done? I know where the commands are
(drawing tools), but they are not 'available' for me to select. I understand
it may have to do with the logos being 'freefloating' and on the drawing
clipboard at the same time? I may have read that wrong though. If so, how
can I fix this? Thanks!

You can only ungroup vector clipart (.wmf, for example). Any logo you have pasted
from the web cannot be ungrouped.

Hi Kathryn-

In addition to Mary's reply, what you may be referring to is that 'In Line'
graphics cannot be included in Grouping. When pasting graphics into a Word
doc the default is to paste them as 'In Line with text', so you must first
apply some type of Text Wrap to them (to make them 'free floating'). Then you
can select 2 or more and group them. You may also find that if you apply Text
Wrap some of the images you can't currently _ungroup_ may then become
ungroupable.

BTW- If you want to change the default In Line method, go to
Tools>Options--Edit and choose the type of wrapping you woud prefer to use
instead.
