Pasting a tif file image in all out going e-mails

I am on the XP Business OS. Recently I have been trying
to incorporate a company logo that was created as a tif
file into all of my outgoing e-mail messages for one of my
four e-mail addresses. I am not that technically
proficient but think I have tried what the help system
inside of Micro Word and Outlook suggest without success.
I copied the tif file to the picture folder and tried to
import and open from that folder without much success.
Need help please.
