Pasting and Auto-resizing of ojbects and images

When I paste an image into a slide, that already has images or
objects, everything resizes. How do I turn this off or paste without
resizing everything?

It's the buried option in

Tools>AutoCorrect>AutoFormat as You Type
then
untick the "automatic layout for inserted objects"
