Pasting error

When I open word up and copy and paste some graphics into word I always get
a very small graphic (cm square). That is nothing to do with the graphic I
have just copied. If I now copy some text and paste it, it pastes correctly.
I can now copy my original graphic and it pastes properly.

Is there a solution to this?

Well I recommend that you use Insert, Picture, From File rather than
Copy/Paste a graphic. However, it sounds as though you have
PicturePlaceholders selected (Tools, Options, View). Also make sure that you
have Drawing Objects checked under the Printer Tab too.
