What is the most efficient way to paste pictures into a Word 2007 document
that has column formatting so the picture does not have text wrapped around
it and can overlap both columns?

Well to first answer a question you didn't ask :) "pasting" is never the
best option if any degree of quality is required. Use the Insert> Picture
method & you'll get far better results.

As for the wrapping, if I understand correctly I would think that Top &
Bottom is what you're looking for.

Yes, I understand pasting is not the best way to go but the document I was
given already had many many images pasted into the document as Pictures
(Windows Metafile) so that is what I am dealing with. This allows formatting
but what is the correct way to get picture to stay with the text in a column
formatted report with top and bottom formatting?
