Pasting table in header tight to header outline

S

Steve W

I am trying to past a 2 row table in header so that the bottom of table is
tight to the bottom of the header. i.e. there is no extra text/para. line.

THe first time I pasted the table, it wound up this way. But I couldn't
adjust the colums evenly with the rest of the page. So I decided to paste a
new table. I have not been able to get the table tight again to the bottom
edge of the header. Someone suggested changing the font to 1 but there is
still line. (thought its almost not visible). I tried a large font size in
that line, like 500, and it disappeared. But this is not good enough, and I'm
afraid it'll lead to problems.

I want to do this so when I add or delete lines to a table, I don't have to
worry about changing the top of the table on each page and reformatting lines
and line numbers.

I have tried lots of paste settings in options and word wrap on table.
Nothing works.

Please HELP, its driving me crazy..(as word usually does)

Is there

While you are in your Header/Footer section and are in the table in
question:

From the Table Menu, select Table Properties. Change the text
wrapping of your Table to Around Text instead of the default "None".

Let us know if that does not fix it for you.
