Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) I cannot find an 'Edit > Paste Special... > Unformatted Text' command to assign to a keyboard shortcut. Can you help please?

I have no idea how to use AppleScript or Automator.

Oh dear! That means I have got to delve into AppleScript or keep mousing around.

Thanks Bob

No, it doesn't. Notice that when you paste there is a clipboard icon called
the Paste Options button that appears following the pasted content. Click it
& choose "Match Destination Formatting" or "Keep Text Only". It's also
possible that the options offered may vary depending on what program you
were using when you copied & what the nature of the content is.

If the Paste Options button isn't appearing after you paste, go to Word>
Preferences> Edit & tick the box to activate the feature.
