Patch package could not be opened

I am moving some Win 2000 Pro stations from an NT domain
to Win 2003 domain. The stations have Office 2000 Pro
with SP 1 installed. When I change domain to the new Win
2003 domain, I get the message "The Patch package could
not be opened. Verify that the patch package exists and
that you could access it....".
This happens only when I change domain from the NT to Win
2003 and login and try to use any of the Office apps. I
have tried reinstalling as the local admin and am still
getting the same problem.
An suggestions on fixing this.
