Patch package missing, Office products won't open

I had a trojan, got rid of it. Note pad is gone and
installer comes up when office product is clicked. Error
message comes up that patch package is missing or I do
not have access. The office programs worked prior to the
trojan. I have tried to reinstall but can not do so.
Error message appears. Any specific ideas on how to fix?
