Patches Office/Outlook not working

I am having problem in patching Oulook/Office 2000 or XP
in Windows 2003 Server. I have verified that
Outlook/Office is installed properly.

Everytime I try to run the patch I got this message: The
expected version of product was not found on your system.

Anybody have any inside information on these issues?
