Pattern and texture fills not in browser

I added a texture fill and a pattern line fill to two elements on my page in
FP 2002 and they aren't showing in the browser when I upload them. Instead
they change to solid colors. How do I fix it?

I am using IE but if it can't be viewed in other browsers then I won't use
them. Thanks for the info.
