how do i round to the nearest quarter hour (.25, .50, .75) in a payroll worksheet. i've tried the round function, but it's not returning the values i want. help...

One way:
=ROUND(A1*4,0)/4

Glenn,

Paul's solution is fine for normal numbers, buts as time is held as a
fraction of 1 day, you need to scale it up, and then down again

=ROUND(A1*4*24,0)/4/24
