PC Hangs or reboots in office

Is there a known issue in MS Office regarding copy and
paste ? - my and client's PC's hangs and in some cases
reboots when a person open a document and copy and paste
to another document :

OPERATING MSWORD
SYSTEM VERSION OTHER

Myself XP Prof Office XP Prof
Client 1 Win2000 Office 2000 Also
when converting document to PDF
Client 2 Win95 Office 97
Client 3 Win98 Office 97
