pc reboot upon excel table insert to word doc

User has a P4, Win2K, office 2K sp1, when she inserts an
excell table (even a new empty one) into a word doc, it
reboots her pc.

Is this a known microsoft issue or a hardware issue.

No other know problems with OS or PC
