PDF Add in with Trial 2007

J

Joe G.

I just installed trial version of Office 2007 standard. I do not seem to be
able to download the add-in for publishing as PDF. When I go to do so on the
Microsoft site, it states I need to validate first. When I go to do this, it
states that Trial versions are not valid versions. Thus, I can't install the
PDF add in.

Am I doing something wrong?

IIRC, you're not doing anything wrong -- it's an issue with the trial
versions. Unfortunately, you'll have to use the non-trial versions to be
able to use the PDF add-in.

Hi Joe,

You're not doing anything wrong. Trial versions of MS Office software don't 'validate'. Basically, MS has decided for now not to
offer the PDF or XPS 'save as' Add-in options for the Office 2007 trial software. If you have a prior version of Office installed
it may validate to download the add-in to allow it to install for 2007.
