Hello all,
We have a user running Windows XP, with Word 2002 and Acrobat 5.0. She
is trying to create a PDF from a Word document. After working on the
Word document, she clicks on File, then Print, and selects Acrobat
Distiller as the printer. She then changes the output type from ebook
to Print, and then clicks on OK to print the document. At that point,
she immediately gets an error..."This document failed to print". We
then reopened Word (after Task Manager showed it as 'not responding'),
created the docuement and then clicked on the 'create PDF button' from
within Word. A dialog box pops up that reads "Printing" with a
progress meter it gets about halfway through but then the hourglass
stays up and eventually Word shows as 'not responding' again.
I tried renaming the PDFMaker.dot file to PDFMaker.old and then copied
over the .dot file from the Adobe folder and retried this but got the
same results.
Anyone have any ideas what to try next ? Thanks in advance for your
