PDF files created in word for High Quaility out put

Most printers require PS (post script) fonts when processing PDF files.
Can word read or use PS fonts?
If I use True Type fonts for high end work how does the use of True
Type fonts in word effect the final PDF file when out put by high
quality printers?

I use whatever font I want and neither my home printer nor my commercial
printer has problems with the fonts.
