Pen Icon grayed out

Hello.
I recently installed OneNote 2007 but cannot get pens to work. The pen icon
and pen toolbar are grayed out.
This is on an XP pro machine (not tablet version). I understand I will not
have search and OCR functionality but it would be useful for sketches. How
do I enable the pens?

Thanks in advance,
-Neal

Working with a pen in XP requires the poper OS version, i.e "TabletPC
Edition". No way without the latter.

What pen/tablet device are you using? I do not have a "Tablet PC", but I do
use an AIPTEK graphics tablet.
