Pen palette for PowerPoint on Tablet PC

I use my TabletPC to take notes on Powerpoint slides in class, and often I
like to change colors/pen types, but it is difficult to do so quickly in
SlideShow mode. Would it be possible to have an optional floating palette to
change colors in one click?

Maybe the info at http://www.cs.washington.edu/homes/rea/Presenter_howto.htm
will get you started. I know nothing about it and just found it using Google.
I searched on "tablet pc add-in PowerPoint" without the quotes.
