percenatge increase in values across multiple cells

Hi

I have a spreadsheet of numerical values and I simply want to increase all
values, in all cells, by 17.5%. Can anyone please tell me how to do this?

Type 1.175 in a spare cell and copy it... Highlight your numbers and then
edit>paste special...>values+multiply

Many thanks for this. Saved me a lot of mouse work! Why the help couldn't
explain this I don;t know...too concerned with complex things and forgets
