Percent complete variance

Using MS Project 2007 and I would like a way to identify if the percent
complete changed from yesterday. I copy to a custom field but I can not do
an auto compare of my custom field with % complete. Any thoughts?

I haven't done this to test the idea, but I would guess that two small
macros would do this.

First: write to populate a custom field, e.g. Number1, with %Complete now.

Second: runs through all the tasks and compares Number1 with the current
%Complete? Store the result in a third custom field or something.
