We tested a remote A2003 app using RDP to our Windows Server 2003 (SBS) and
found the reponse time to be similar to the LAN (very satisfactory). So.we
bought a new server and hooked it up to run Terminal Server. We left the
A2003 app on our LAN server. Immediatedly, response time for my development
work became double what it had been before :-( When we tried the RDP
connections they worked fine but their response time was also about doubled.
I guess I can understand the RDP connections being slower(groan), but why
would using the app on the LAN be slower? Also, any general performance
tweaks for this environment?
TIA,
