Performance issues in Outlook 2003 with SSD

KB940226 talks about, among other things, performance issues in Outlook 2007
when using a first-generation SSD. I have a user who is experiencing much
the same symptoms described in the article, and whose machine has an early
SSD, but the user is running Outlook 2003, not 2007. Does the information
about SSDs in KB940226 apply to Outlook 2003 as well as 2007?
