Performance issues ODBC links to Sybase database

Hi
I use Access2000 and have taken ownership of a db that links into
Sybase
When running a process on my machine this takes twice as long to run.
Our machines are the same spec
I noticed a property on ODBC Sybase Driver setup called Fetch Array
Size:
It is set to 50, if I increased this would this increase the
performance?
