Performance problem whem McAfee is running

I have written a C# add-in for Excel which uses web services to talk to a
Java server. When McAff is running on the desktop the perfromance of the
add-in is terrible (2 minutes)! If McAfee is disabled then performance is
fine (3 seconds).

Any ideas other than disabling McAfee?
