Generally I find Microsoft Office 2007 overly resource hungry on the PCs in
our office on XP pro. Its better on dual core PCs, but more memory up to 2Gb
adds little to PCs more than a year old.
Surely all the extra performance of the CPU gained in the past 15 years is
just soaked up by products like MS Office especially gimmicky graphics. This
doesn't feel faster than my PC did on Windows 95 and Office 95.
Overall I was much happier with Office 97 to 2003 versions in their ease of
use.
