periodic quantities per task

Hi All,

Anybody expert on MS projects ?

I need help on Microsoft projects, following is my question -
do MSP have place to store periodic quantities and apply respective rate to
come-up with value per task

foll is example

In MSP
hrs
rate
Amt

Jan
10
5
50

Feb
20
6
120

Mar
30
7
210

total
60

380

as i understand MSP can store the rates ,but can it also store multiple
quantities per task?
Can anyone guide to 'forums' where this question can be raised?

Thanks,
Parag

Hi,
This is the forum.
Through the Usage views you can enter work quantities or material usage
quantities for any time unit you want (week, month...) for each task.
Entering a different rate per month is only possible on resource level, not
on task level.

thanks for your reply,
let me give u actual scenario
we want to send multiple quantities and multiple rates from 'oracle
projects' to 'microsoft projects' thru some interface

if we send multiple quantities per task and we send per period ,can
Microsoft project hold this data and also calculate cost on that basis
example
qnty rate amt
10 5 50
20 6 120
30 7 210
------------------
60 380
============
i want to send this data from oracle and see as it is in microsoft projects,
is it possible that MSP will hold data as sent ,in the view usage' window u
spefified?

really appreciate your response

What more can I say than in my previous post?
In the Project object these quantities are stored as Timescaledvalues
Rates per period is more tricky as I said.
