Perm denied error while save in a xml file in front page appln

Hi i am developing a web page . In this i read some selected data from xml
file and save selected data in another xml file . I am not able to do so , i
get a error message "A run time error has occurred " Permission denied error
.. I am using front page to develop this , also i am using java script as the
language embedded in html pages. This error i get in preview mode of running
the application in front page.


Also i get Permisson Denied error when i try to open the same appplication
in IE browser.

Please suggest solution.

To save any data on a server in the xml file the xml file must be in a folder w/ write permissions
- are you testing online in the browser on your server
(local pc and FP preview will not give you the correct results)

Hi ,
Thanks for your answer . But i what i want to know is that , i presently am
not using any web server. I am just using the web page application i
developed in my PC. I open the page in IE...and try to feed in inputs which
are read from a xml file , and this chosen data should be written to a output
xml file . I get the permission denied error while doing so . Surprisingly i
am able to save this xml operation in a different machine, however i am not
able to do so in my PC. Both have IE SP2 installed. Is it some configuration
settings that i have to change , some registry settings . Please do let me
know.
