Permanent Watermarks

We want to apply a watermark to a batch of documents within a folder, rather than the individual documents, so that when any document in the set is printed the "uncontrolled" watermark is produced. Is there a connecting device available? Is this possible or is the watermark feature (at document level) the only option and is this switched on and off by the print facility? Eventually the documents will be "secured" by becoming PDFs rather than .DOCs.

Some printers (like my el cheapo Canon) can be set to add a watermark
automatically.
To do it through Word there's no alternative but to work document by
document. The watermark is just a graphic inserted in the document, and it's
not switched on or off automatically.

This sort of approach to document control is a waste of time anyway. It was
invented for the entertainment of quality auditors (and as a mild
fee-enhancer); it's never added any value to an organization.
