permission in project 2007

i gave a user specific permission but still he get to see project he
shouldn't see once he open the file>open window, any idea why it's happen ?
note: he is not the file owner.

You mean the project or the sharepoint site tied to the project? If he's able
to see the project he's a member of the project team members group.

i already check if he is a member of the project team but he isn't ....
