Permissions on delegate doesn't work?

Global permissions includes a function called "Delegate Task" I have it set
to "allow" for the user yet the function doesn't appear in the Tasks menu.

Is there a dependent setting for this function?

FYI: There is also a Schedule File permission for this.

In MSP 2002, select from the Main Menu: [Tools][Options][Collaborate][Allow
REsource to delegate.....]

On the View My Tasks page for each resource, there should be two ways to
access the Delegate Tasks feature:

1. Click the "Delegate tasks" link in the sidepane on the left

2. Click the Delegation tab at the top of the timesheet, then click the
Delegate Task button

Once either of these methods has been used, the resource can follow the
steps in the Delegate Task wizard. Hope this helps.

That setting is checked on but my user ID in PWA can't see the "delegate
task" item on their pages. Yet Administrator does have it.

Neither "Delegate Tasks" nor a Delegation tab can be found with my users'
PWA IDs. However, Administrator does have it. That's why I'm wondering of
there's another dependent permission.

Let's give it another try. Please do the following and see if this solves
your problem:

1. Log into PWA with Administrator permissions
2. Click the Admin menu
3. Click the Manage Organization link
4. Click the Features link in the sidepane, if necessary
5. In the Tasks section, make sure the "Delegate Task" option is set to
Allow
6. Click the Save Changes button

Let me know if this takes care of your problem.
