Permissions/Rights in PS2k3

Hi

I wanna know how can i assign hich rights to a person?? I have assigned some
rights to few reources through the Admin portion. but i wanna grasp on
assigninig righs/Permissions. I wanna know what is the difference between
global rights and the simple rights which r given to a user/Groups. Basically
i wanna know the difference betwen global rights etc. i just wanna know how
to assign a particular right to a particular resource / Group etc . In other
words you can say need info abt assigning rights from A- Z. Help will really
be appreciated. Thank you.
