Permissions

Hi
I'm working in Project server 2003. Can anyone tell me how I set the
permissions for a group of users that want general TM status AND the ability
to adjust column settings (Risk, Issues, Docs)?

Kathleen,

AFAIK there is no way to achieve this out-of-the-box. You will have to
change the permissions for these users manually on each project workspace.

Kathleen,

Go to the project workspace (e.g.
http://server1/sites/projectserver_101/default.aspx), then select 'Site
Settings' from the top navigation bar. Next, click 'Manage users' from the
'Administration' section. Now you should see a list of all people having
access to this specific project workspace. Select the one you would like to
change permissions for by clicking the user name. Finally, on the next page
check the box for the required group. I guess what you're looking for is the
'Web Designer' group.

I understand how to change the user. I am wondering what access a "web
designer" gives the user for that specific project?
There's no way then to do this from the security model?
