Persistent error message

Outlook 2002 (XP Home) has suddenly started giving
problems. Opening Outlook, error message appears "unable
to start processing services". Clicking on OK usually
results in Outlook then closing and having to be re-
opened two or three times before it will (randomly) stay
open and do its work. If Outllok is going to close, after
the first error message it will then generate a coupel of
other error messages sayign it is trying to reference
memory location points which can't be "written" to
or "read" from. Clicking on these will close Outlook. The
event log seems to suggest some of the problems are
related to a driver not being loaded. But which one?
Device Manager shows no problems. Original fault occured
for no apparent reasons (i.e. no settings changed etc. as
far as I know). Problem has remeained despite
a "repair"/upgrade reeinstallation of XP fromt he OEM's
setup disks. Connection is Braodband ADSL. Want to try to
avoid full reinstallation if I can and learn a bit about
the problem along the way. Anyone help please?
