Persoanl Contacts in OAB

I have a user that has lost the ability to see the
Personal Contacts in the Outlook Address Book. They can
see all of their personal contacts by looking in the
Contacts folder, but they will not show when addressing
an e-mail using the To: button.

This user is using a laptop with Windows 2000 OS and
Outlook 2000 client.

Any idea as to how I can get the Contacts to show up
again in the OAB?

Thanks in advance for you help!

I'm experiencing the same situation. The contacts must
be on the server, but are not in my mailbox.pab... which
may have been blown away when I received a new machine
recently. I need to know how to import the contacts from
the server to a .pab.

Go to Tools > Services. Make sure the Outlook Address Book service is
listed. If not, add it. Next, R click on the Contact folder or folders you
want the OAB to display, choose "Properties", go to the Outlook Address Book
tab and check the "Show this folder as an E-mail address book" box. You may
also need to go to Tools > Options > Addressing Tab and choose to show your
Contacts folder.

Why do you need to keep using a PAB? It was replaced by the Outlook Address
Book years ago. Why not use it instead?
