personal address book

I'm using Window XP and Outlook 2002.

When changing an address in my personal address book the
address appears that is was changed, but when going back
into it the old address is still there. Why is the
happening

are you really using a PAB file, or outlook contacts ?

if PAB do you have file permissions for the PAB file ?

Yes I'm using PAB. I created it myself it is on my
computer. I would think I have permissions. What else
can I check?

For starters, you should not use a PAB. It was replaced by the Contacts
Folder and Outlook Address Book more than 5 years ago and is no longer
supported by current version of Outlook. It is tome to migrate to the
Outlook Address Book:
