Personal files appear on Internet search list

Hi I am using Office 2007 with Vista.

Recently I have noticed that if I open an office file to work on it, and
then go to Yahoo to search for something on the Web my recently opened
folders appear in the dropdown list of recently used sites.

Could someone please tell me why, and if there is somethign I can do to stop
this as I am paranoid about all this hacking etc.

Thanks
Caroline

Why on earth would you think it's "hacking"?
This has happened since IE6.....
Because Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer basically run off the same
engine they are very closely linked.

Hi Gordon,

I am not a tekky person and have asked the question because we are always
being told to be alert to things that are different - so excuse me if I sound
stupid!!

I asked the question because I havn't come across this before, it is new to
me and my husband and son both have a computer and it does not occur with
them.

So if this is standard, why is it new to me and why do my husband and son
not have it happening?

So to confirm - you are saying that it is not something to worry about and
it does not mean that others can access my folders online.

Absolutely. If you look at History in IE you will see all the local files
you have accessed as well as web pages.
