Personalizing PowerPoint

Tom

Using PP2007 with a Vista Premium OS. Does anyone know what controls the
name shown as "Author"? I have my name/initials in the PowerPoint
Options/Popular/Personalize section, but when I mouse over a PP file, it
shows my niece's name as author on all of the files I create. Is this being
driven by PP or by Vista? Is there some other place in PP where you set
author?

Thanks,
Tom K.

Tom,

Click on the Office Button at the right of the ribbon. Select Prepare >
Properties.

Sandy:
That's what's so puzzling. The document properties under Prepare >
Properties shows my name as author. But if you mouse over, or click on
Properties with Windows Explorer, it shows my niece's name as author. It's
almost as if Document Properties is not the only place where PowerPoint
picks up the data for the "author" field. I can't imagine what's happening.

Thanks for your suggestion.

Hi Tom,

I can't recreate your problem. I mouse over a presentation that contain
another authors name, opened that file and then opened Properties. Then I
changed the author's name to mine and saved the file.

Now when I mouse over the file, my name appears as author.
