Robin

Hi,

Does anybody know of a template to help me build a petition website?
FrontPage 2003.

Thanks

Hi Robin,

http://www.thepetitionsite.com is a service that allows you to create
petitions for free. You need to look closely at it though, as someone I
know created a petition there and we could never pull the e-mail addresses.

http://www.petitiononline.com is another service with which I have no
experience. There may be yet-further sites.

OTOH, we wanted complete control over our database, so we built our own:
http://www.verifiedvoting.org/joinus_step1.asp

Folks, for you who plan to vote this year (and want to make sure your vote
is counted) ya may want to drop by and check this site
www.VerifiedVoting.org. Imagine walking into the voting booth, and there is
a man behind a curtain. You tell him what your vote is, and ask him to
write down your vote. You walk away hoping that your vote was recorded
correctly. Sort of like "faith-based voting." Paperless electronic voting
is not much better than that; proprietary software that nobody (including
the Feds) get to inspect. No paper-trail. No meaningful recounts. No
reason to trust these things. Is that how we want our elections run?

Thanks for that, I'll take a look.
