I just installed office 2007 - I just purchased a new computer 2 months about
and installed office 2003 - new computer has vista home premium. I now have
a phantom inbox in outlook. when I open outlook it opens to this inbox and
my new mail is being delivered there BUT it is not listed in my personal
folders and if I close it (go to a different folder) I have to close outlook
and reopen to get it to be available again.???

The 'inbox' is a folder contained within your Personal Folders.
Perhaps you have inadvertantly created a new data file (Personal Folder)
which is set as the default

Did both Office 2003 and 2007 have Outlook? Is both versions of Office have Outlook installed?
